Ms. Jackson... when she's nasty!
I admit it, I missed the whole flash of the half-time show during the Super Bowl. I was listening to it in the car with my wife and daughter and it just didn't have the same impact on the radio.
I feel ill-equipped to write about the event, even if I wanted to give it the continued attention it so poorly demands. Instead, I consider, once again, the standards we as a culture and nation are willing to sink to... settling for so much less that we ought. Echos come to mind of, "Why are we in this handbasket and where are we headed?"
While I may not agree with everything he's ever writen, I do have to give a hearty 'Amen!' to David Renhard's editorial in the February 8th 2004 Sunday Oregonian. His insight is both accurate and appreciated.
